Paddle Length Guide

The most important factors to consider when choosing your paddle length are your height and the width of your kayak. You can find the width of your kayak by clicking on “Specs” on your model page. If you plan on using a fishing kayak with the seat in the “up” position, it may be helpful to opt for a slightly longer paddle. Choosing a paddle also depends on your personal preference, but use this chart as a guide.

Guide to paddle length:

Kayak width between 23" and 28":

• Paddler measuring between 5' and 6': 230 cm paddle
• Paddler measuring over 6': 240 cm paddle

Kayak width between 28" and 32":

• Paddler measuring between 5' and 6': 240 cm paddle
• Paddler measuring over 6': 250 cm paddle

Kayak width over 32" :

• Paddler measuring between 5' and 6': 250 cm paddle
• Paddler measuring over 6': 260 cm paddle

Paddle weight:

• Day Tourer and Camo 240: 1.13 kg (2 lb 8 oz)
• Alloy 240: 1.28 kg (2 lb 13 oz)
